Hands
On Atlanta
is seeking a motivated, organized individual to assist in annual
fundraising
efforts. The development department is
responsible for raising an annual budget of approximately $3 million
from
individuals, foundations, corporations and special events. The
Corporate
Accounts Manager will report to the Director of Development and will
focus on
corporate donors and sponsor-related support.

Primary
responsibilities include:
- Identify
and research prospective corporate partners, particularly small to
mid-sized businesses, as well as companies relocating to Atlanta
- Prepare
funding proposals and marketing materials for current and prospective
Corporate
Partners
- Implement
Hands On Atlanta’s Corporate Account Management process to cultivate,
secure
and maintain Corporate Partnerships; work closely with other Hands On
Atlanta
departments to ensure that proper recognition, project management and
other
quality services are provided to all partners
- Consult
with Corporate Partners to promote project placements, custom event
opportunities and the implementation of workplace volunteerism programs
- Recruit
corporate volunteers to support Hands On Atlanta’s special events and
ongoing
programs
- Work
with the Hands On Atlanta Board to encourage their active participation
in
corporate fundraising activities and to help develop additional
prospect lists
- Manage
all fundraising components and support event management for
SerivceJuris (a day
of service for Atlanta’s legal community), including identifying and
securing
corporate sponsors, managing corporate volunteer recruitment and
registration,
and managing the Communications and Service Learning Committees.
- Conduct
on-site orientations with current Hands On Atlanta Corporate Partners
as
requested
- Update
and maintain an accurate, comprehensive corporate fundraising database
and
consistently maintain historical documents
- Participate
in organizational-wide special volunteer service and fundraising events
- Work
cooperatively with other development department staff to maximize
funding
opportunities through foundations, grants, individual giving and
special events
- Attend
and actively participate in Atlanta Corporate Volunteer Council meetings
- Follow
industry trends and local business news; attend appropriate networking
events
- Assume
other duties, responsibilities and roles as assigned
Qualifications:
Qualified candidates will have a bachelor’s degree, preferably with a
concentration in marketing, business or communications. Candidates must
have proven experience in fundraising or sales and be able to present a
portfolio of successful past accounts demonstrating an ability to
achieve sales at the $50,000+ level. Hands On Atlanta is a fast-paced
environment, and the successful candidate must have excellent
time-management skills, be well-organized, creative and able to work
well both independently and in a team environment. Excellent
communication skills, both written and verbal, are a must. A commitment
to community service is essential.
