Hands On Atlanta is seeking a
motivated, organized individual to assist in annual
fundraising efforts. The Development Department is
responsible for raising an annual budget of approximately $5
million from individuals, foundations, corporations and the
government. The Individual Giving Manager will supervise
this position.
Responsibilities
Targeting and drafting
correspondence to potential donors and/or volunteers to
participate in Hands On Atlanta’s Annual Giving
Campaign, which kicks off on Hands On Atlanta Day.
Researching prospective
donors and identifying major donors as part of a new
initiative.
Soliciting Individual
donations for Hands On Atlanta’s Individual Giving
Campaign.
Assisting with team
registration and day of event logistics for ServiceJuris,
a volunteer event that will engage 700 volunteers from
Atlanta’s legal industry in hands on volunteer projects.
Provide project support to the ServiceJuris project team
and assist with Individual Giving Solicitation.
Assisting with the
set-up, event procedures, and breakdown of A Taste of
Volunteering, Hands On Atlanta’s wine tasting
fundraising event.
Updating and maintaining
accurate, comprehensive individual records in the Hands
On Atlanta database as well as consistently maintaining
historical documents in the HOA Individual Giving filing
cabinet.
Participating in
organizational-wide special volunteer service and
fundraising events.
Other duties as assigned,
supporting volunteerism and public relations.
Qualifications
Candidates must have excellent
time-management skills, be well-organized, creative and able to work
well both independently and in a team environment. Excellent
communication skills, both written and verbal, are necessary. A
commitment to community service is essential. All members of the
Development Department will take an active leadership role in agency
wide volunteer service and fundraising events.
