The Technology Intern will
salvage computer systems for redistribution to
nonprofits and low income families, and will
recycle non-working systems to reduce
environmental waste.
Responsibilities:

Refurbish and repair
computers
-
Accept incoming
computer donations
-
Help with computer
donation pick ups

Troubleshoot desktop
computers

Provide technical
support

Lead volunteers in
refurbishment projects
Qualifications:
-
Experience with
Microsoft Operating Systems (2000 and XP)
-
Experience with
Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel,
and Access)

Experience with PC
Hardware
-
Experience installing
software and reimaging
-
Prior leadership
experience
-
Have access to phone,
email and internet
Time Commitment:
The Technology Intern is required to serve a
minimum of two 4 hour shifts per week over a
period of 10 months (for a total of 300 hours).
Training Required:
The Technology Intern must attend an orientation
with Tech Corps Ga. Inc staff, as well as attend
Technology Intern training with Hands On Atlanta
staff. On-the-job training is provided by the
Tech Corps Ga. Inc. and Hands On Atlanta staff.
A commitment to community service is essential.
