Summary
Enters data into computer for subsequent
entry by performing the following duties.
Essential Functions
Include the following.
·
Keeps track of received data and source
documents.
·
Prepares and sorts source documents, and
identifies and interprets data to be entered.
·
Contact originators of source documents to
resolve questions, inconsistencies, or missing data.
·
Enters alphabetic, numeric, or symbolic data
from source documents into computer following format displayed on screen,
and enters necessary codes.
·
Makes necessary corrections to information
entered.
·
Compiles, sorts, and verifies accuracy of
data to be entered.
·
Keeps record of work completed.
·
Transmits entered information into database.
·
Files or routes source documents after
entry.
·
Provides routine office support such as
making copies, faxing, answering phones, prepares correspondence for
mailing.

While performing the duties of this
job, the intern is required to use a computer. Good knowledge of PC
operations and software (Word processing and spreadsheet) are required.
Excellent typing skills are also required.
Education and/or Other Requirements
·
Completion of a high school program or
general education degree (GED); or one year related experience and/or
training; or equivalent combination of education and experience
·
Bachelors Degree Preferred
