How to Become a Hands On Atlanta Member

Schedule an orientation and join over 37,000 Hands On Atlanta members involved in volunteer projects throughout the city and surrounding communities. Once you've completed orientation you'll receive the monthly Citizen newsletter. Both the Citizen and the web site provide registered members with access to project schedules and coordinator contact information.

Basic Volunteering

  • A long-term commitment is not required.
  • Volunteer for as few or as many hours as you choose: evening or daytime, weekends or weekdays, whatever your schedule allows.
  • There are service projects to which you can bring your children. Volunteering as a family is great quality time together.
  • Some projects use volunteers' special skills (e.g. a computer whiz can teach computing to youths or help Hands On Atlanta improve our in-house computer system).
  • Switch from one project to another at your will. Some volunteers use this opportunity to test out possible career interests.
Long-term Volunteer Commitments/Leadership Opportunities

If you're interested in a long-term role and volunteer leadership opportunities, such as Project Coordinator, School Captain, Grade Captain, please call Hands On Atlanta,
404-979-2800.
