Rising 6th - 8th graders are invited to spend an
enriching week with Hands On Atlanta’s Summer Service
Camp, an exciting full-day camp
(9 a.m. – 5 p.m.) created especially for middle
school students that combines community service with
awesome outings to some
of Atlanta's most notable
attractions.
Students will have opportunities to:

Deepen their understanding of social issues
* Participate in hands-on community service
projects
* Develop personal and leadership skills
* Explore ways to continue their own interests
in civic engagement
The curriculum will focus on impact areas such as:
arts and enrichment, youth development, animal
services, environment, hunger and homelessness
issues, and senior citizens.
Hands On Atlanta is our city's leading volunteer
organization, engaging thousands of volunteers
annually in meaningful service opportunities all
over the metro area. The Hands On Atlanta
Summer Service Camp will be led by a carefully
selected staff with a variety of experience in youth
camps.
Sessions:
A June 18 – 22 B
June 25 – 29 (full)
C July 16 –
20 D July 23 – 27
Students will meet daily at Hands On Atlanta,
located at 600 Means Street, NW Atlanta, 30318.
Breakfast and afternoon snack are
included. Campers bring their own lunch.
Camp meets daily from 9:00 a.m.
to 5:00 p.m. For your convenience, children
may be dropped off by 8:30 a.m. and picked up no
later than 6:00 p.m.
Cost
and Payment:
Each
one week session is $225.
Limited scholarships are available for those who qualify.
Registration:
Students must be rising 6th – 8th
graders.
Please register early! Each session is limited to
20 campers and will be filled on a first-come,
first-served basis. Students placed on a waiting
list will be notified by mail or phone
if an opening arises.
