I have been waitlisted for a project. Now what?

When (and if) a space opens up, you will be notified via e-mail. Open spaces will be filled on a first-come, first-served basis so if you are still available and interested for the volunteer opportunity, make sure you login, return to the sign-in page and claim one of the open spaces. DO NOT JUST SHOW UP FOR THE PROJECT.

My hours are not accurate. Why are my hours not showing up?

If you volunteered at a Flexible Volunteer Program (Flex) project, please give our volunteer Team Leader one week to verify attendance. If you volunteered with one of our partner organizations, your hours will not be recorded in our system but they should be able to verify your hours.

In our new system, self-reported hours were not transferred over so it may show less than what you had before. Currently, there is no option to self-report hours you have completed through another community organization. Hands On Atlanta's database can only track hours from opportunities that were managed by us such as Flex projects.

The Hands On Atlanta website functions as a search engine for volunteer opportunities. Volunteers can search for opportunities based on location, interest and skills. We highly recommend that the organization's staff contact the volunteer within 3-5 business days. Hands On Atlanta also tracks volunteer feedback to ensure that the process works smoothly.
