Atlanta BeltLine Jamboree
The Atlanta BeltLine Partnership (ABLP) is a non-profit organization funded entirely through private endeavors. ABLP staff members work with neighborhoods, businesses, community and faith organizations, and other groups to raise general awareness, and broad-based support for the Atlanta BeltLine. ABLP raises funds through private and philanthropic sources, and serves as a catalyst to mobilize resources to achieve the positive social impacts of the Atlanta BeltLine vision. The Atlanta BeltLine is sparking a fun culture of health, activity, and community in Atlanta. By providing parks, trails, transit, and affordable in-town living -- and by partnering with like-minded organizations -- the Atlanta BeltLine is creating more unique opportunities for healthier, more sustainable living in Atlanta. Volunteer at this fun family-friendly event at Washington Park, a frequent setting for our programming. With your help, the Atlanta BeltLine Partnership will to offer free fitness classes and engage the local community to kick off the spring season. 11:30am - 3:00pm volunteer shift tasks: + Set-up tables, chairs and booths + Set-up registration table and set out ABLP materials + Greet and direct guests + Hand out water 2:30pm - 5:00pm volunteer shift tasks: + Greet and direct guests + Answer guests' questions + Hand out water + Share information about Atlanta Beltline and ABLP 4:30pm - 7:30pm volunteer shift tasks: + Assist with cleaning up the festival space + Pick-up trash + Break down tables and chairs + Load cars and vans All volunteers will spend the first 30 minutes of their shift attending an orientation. Court ordered volunteers are permitted to serve. Volunteers must be at least 18 years old to serve by themselves and volunteers as young as 15 may serve with an adult. This project site is wheelchair accessible. Volunteers should wear closed-toe shoes and comfortable attire for being outside. Volunteers should bring a water bottle, sunscreen, and bug spray.
