Art on the Atlanta BeltLine: Lantern Parade
Atlanta BeltLine Partnership (ABLP) is a non-profit organization funded through private and philanthropic sources, and serves as a catalyst to mobilize resources to achieve the positive social impacts of the Atlanta BeltLine vision. One of the core components of the Atlanta BeltLine is public art. We in are neighborhoods throughout the city with temporary and year-round public art collections that serve to engage the community. Every year, Art on the Atlanta BeltLine showcases temporary works from local and national artists. The Lantern Parade is one of our most popular public art activities. Volunteers will be overseeing crowd control; serving as parade marshals; helping with the bands; assisting people as they cross streets; and helping to keep the trail clean by picking up trash and recyclables. Volunteers should wear good walking shoes, preferably closed-toed as you'll be walking 2 miles and also wear comfortable attire for being outside at night. Please consider bringing water and a flashlight.
This project is wheelchair accessible. Court-ordered volunteers are not allowed to serve. If you have questions or concerns please contact Elan Buchen at firstname.lastname@example.org or via phone at 404-477-3636; cell 912-224-1352.
