City Camp at Wilderness Works - Overnight ChaperonesCity Camp, a key project of Wilderness Works, provides economically disadvantaged children from across Atlanta overnight stays in a dormitory setting over school season weekends and longer stays during summer months.
City Camp allows children to be reunited with their friends in a very popular overnight setting. Frequently Friday night City Camp includes a field trip or significant enrichment activity for the following Saturday.
Volunteers are needed for overnight chaperoning and to accompany children on Saturday’s field trip. Overnight chaperones must be at least 18 years of age. Volunteers with summer camp counselor experience are particularly well suited for City Camp.
Volunteers wishing to serve as an overnight chaperone complete an orientation (contact for further information) and criminal background check. Please contact Dr. Jones at 404-441-1087 for project dates.
