How to Apply

As a Hands On Atlanta Silver Corps AmeriCorps Service Leader, you will serve at either a City of Atlanta Recreation center or another community partner.  Silver Corps members will serve to support morning Senior programming and afternoon after-school programming within the City of Atlanta’s recreation centers.  In any given day, Silver corps Service Leaders will hold workshops on health/nutrition, Medicare/Medicaid or Social Security Insurance and even support Senior physical fitness classes in addition to other scheduled Senior focused programming.  The afternoons will transition into a youth engagement where homework help and recreational activities will take place.  Trainings will provide members with new skills and knowledge that enhance their effectiveness and value to Silver Corps, community service and their own professional growth.
