Kate's Club Buddy Volunteer Orientation: Support Grieving Children Wednesday March 29 from 6:00 PM to 9:00 PM  Kate’s Club offers top quality social and therapeutic programming designed specifically for grieving children and their families. Kate’s Club “Buddies” are the heart of Kate’s Club! Buddies serve as positive role models for Kate’s Club member children, creating safe space by supervising and facilitating club activities. After completion of orientation training, buddies enjoy a flexible schedule with shifts on weekday evenings and weekend mornings and afternoons. Buddies also serve as counselors at Camp Good Mourning. SIGN UP HERE!

United Methodist Children's Home Flea Market Friday April 7th and Saturday April 8th with shifts from 8:30 AM to 4:00 PM. The United Methodist Children's Home works to restore children and families from trauma through Jesus Christ. Our Auxiliary holds 2-day FLEA MARKET Sales to raise funding for our 3 programs:  Foster Care, Independent and Transitional Living, and Family Housing. Volunteers may direct parking, host a sales room, carry purchases to cars, work with the Bake Sale, call out prices for the cashiers, sign up customers on a mailing list. ALL VOLUNTEERS enjoy a delicious FREE LUNCH in our Volunteer Canteen! SIGN UP HERE!

Center for Civil and Human Rights Volunteer Orientation Sunday April 9th from 3:00 PM to 5:00 PM. The Center for Civil and Human Rights has a clear mission: "to empower people to take the protection of every human's rights personally". Through our gallery exhibitions and events we are sharing stories of courage and struggle from all around the world. We invite all Hands On Atlanta volunteers (18 and over) to consider joining the movement and volunteering with the Center! Opportunities range from more relaxed seated activities at our info desk and admin offices, to active socially engaged gallery and events work. SIGN UP HERE!

Earth Day on English Avenue Friday April 21st and Saturday April 22nd from 9:00 AM to 12:00 PM. The mission of Friends of English Avenue is to make the English Avenue community a safer and better place to live through greenspace development and public safety initiatives, improving the broader community of Atlanta through justice, generosity, and virtue. This Earth Day, join us in bringing our mission to life as we clean and beautify the streets of English Avenue.This unique volunteer experience is a great way to make new friends and explore the English Avenue community. Projects are based on the current needs of the community. Projects include cleaning, landscaping, building and more! SIGN UP HERE!

Hands On Atlanta Teen Service Saturdays: MedShare International Saturday April 22nd  from 9:00 AM to 12:00 PM. MedShare International is a nonprofit organization focused on recovering and redistributing surplus medical supplies and equipment to those who need it most in developing countries.Teen volunteers will have a rare opportunity to save lives through packing boxes of medical supplies and preparing clean birthing kits. The volunteer session includes a tour of the facility, an orientation on how to identify, sort, and re-box medical supplies, and a short wrap-up sharing the countries that will receive your international aid. Currently, MedShare is providing humanitarian aid to hospitals and clinics in Ethiopia, Nigeria, Guatemala, Haiti, and The Philippines.
