All of the organizations listed below are Hands On Atlanta Partners and have gone through a comprehensive selection process, ensuring the best volunteer experience!
Atlanta Beltline Jamboree Saturday April 29th from 12:30 PM to 6:30 PM. Atlanta BeltLine Partnership (ABLP) is a non-profit organization funded entirely through private endeavors. ABLP staff members work with neighborhoods, businesses, community and faith organizations, and other groups to raise general awareness, and broad-based support, for the Atlanta BeltLine. Washington Park is a frequent setting for our programming. This festival allows us to introduce our free fitness classes and engage the local community as we kick off the spring season. Volunteer tasks include: set up, directing and answering questions from festival goers, handing out water and clean up. SIGN UP HERE!
Keep North Fulton Beautiful Johns Creek Recyling Event Saturday April 29th from 8:00 AM to 2:00 PM. Volunteers will assist customers in Johns Creek with handling of bulky recycling items not easily handled in traditional venues. Volunteers will provide traffic flow directions, hand out educational material, support recycling vendors with loading, help to set up/take down event signage and accessories, provide food and water runs, and in general assist with a large event in both spacial layout and number of those attending. While the event runs from 9am-1pm, volunteers may choose one or both shifts of 8am-11am or 11am-2pm. SIGN UP HERE!
Clarkston Community Yard Sales Saturday April 29th with shifts from 7:30am to 3:30pm Clarkston community Center a gathering place for the arts, education, and recreations and community building come and help us serve our community. Moving In the Spirit: Front of House Volunteers Thursday May 4th from 5:00 PM to 9:00 PM. Inspired by artists whose boldness sparked movements, SOAR is created and performed in collaboration with the fearless young people of Moving in the Spirit, a youth development program that creates compassionate leaders through the art of dance. Approximately, 167 of our dancers age 5-18 will perform.Volunteer duties will include: Greeting guests, assisting at will call, recording demographics, assisting with seating, break down of the lobby, assisting with the interactive exhibits in the lobby. Jerusalem House Special Event Volunteers Thursday May 4th from 5:00 PM to 9:00 PM Jerusalem House is Atlanta's oldest and largest provider of permanent housing for Atlanta's low-income and homeless individuals and families affected by HIV/AIDS. Jerusalem House seeks mission-focused, fun and friendly volunteers to help with a special event!Volunteers will helps with unloading, set-up, decorating, assisting with greeting and check-in, culinary tasks, clean-up and loading.
