Service Summit Family Series: Little Hands, Big Difference

Agency: Hands On Atlanta Office

Description: Entire families play a part in the Civil Rights Movement. Today families across the nation gather during the King Holiday to share the history of the Civil Rights Movement. Families can also use this holiday to begin a new tradition of volunteerism and community service. Throughout the day attend a selection of ongoing films, exhibits and service projects specially designed for parents and younger children to learn the lessons of the Civil Rights Movement and to draw stronger connection to volunteer service.

*Little Hands, Big Difference
Imagine It!, Children’s Museum of Atlanta, Downtown (Atlanta, GA 30312)
This special exhibit encourages volunteerism and demonstrates how easy and fun it can be for families to help others. Kids of all ages will learn how they can make a difference in their own communities. Join us to hear Mrs. Christine King Farris, sister of Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr., read from her book.
