Description:
There are over 5,000 trees and small shrubs in that have to be maintained by Piedmont Park Conservancy!
Volunteers are needed daily to help
with caring for our wonderful trees and shrubs by watering and attending to new and established plantings throughout Piedmont Park. Tasks include hooking up water hoses to connection points throughout the park; watering trees, shrubs, new and established plantings; checking and replacing gator bags and fencing as needed; inspecting plantings, shrubs and trees for visible signs of health conditions, and additional tasks as assigned.
Volunteers must be 15 years of age or older with adult supervision; be able to perform tasks in all weather conditions; be able to stand and bend for up to 4 hours; perform tasks on unlevel ground and slight inclines; lift up to 20 lbs and walk approximately 1 to 2 miles in the course of completing tasks in 185 acres of usable parkland.
