Ways to be a Corporate Partner
There are three easy ways a company can get involved as a Hands On Atlanta corporate partner.
1. Event Sponsorship
Hands On Atlanta presents three annual days of service as well as our annual fundraiser.
High Five Party (formerly Soirée) (April 22, 2017) is a fun evening to support Hands On Atlanta’s year-round community improvement and education programming. Hands On Atlanta’s annual signature fundraising event, bringing together 210 individual and corporate philanthropists to celebrate volunteers and the power of volunteers to give back, creating better communities. The evening features silent and live auctions as well as the honoring of the Holly Palmer Rhodes Volunteer of the Year. All proceeds from the event go to Hands On Atlanta’s year-round programming in education, nonprofit capacity building and community projects. This year's event also features a game show to engage Hands On Atlanta’s Discovery students and local celebrities.
Hands On Atlanta Day (October 7, 2017) brings thousands of community and corporate volunteers together in one single day of service across the city of Atlanta, making a difference to more than 100 nonprofit and school partners.
Sunday Supper (January 14, 2018)
Martin Luther King, Jr. Day of Service (January 15, 2018), in partnership with The King Center for Nonviolent Social Change, offers volunteers of all backgrounds an opportunity to gain a deeper understanding of their role in social change.
2. Program Support
Hands On Atlanta relies on the support of our generous corporate partners to advance our Youth & Family Service Programs, Discovery Schools Program, ParentU Program, TeamWorks! Program, Civic Leadership Program and AmeriCorps Schools Program. When companies support our initiatives, we often engage them in volunteer opportunities specific to that program. These projects could range from tutoring and mentoring children in our Discovery Schools to pairing company executives with nonprofits in need of highly-skilled volunteers for long-term service relationships through springBoard.
3. Custom Corporate Projects
Custom corporate projects provide a tailored volunteer experience that targets the specific interests of a company's employees. Hands On Atlanta's staff works with the company's volunteer committee or lead contact to determine desired impact areas and populations served. Our staff then teams up with our vetted nonprofit partner agencies to develop "work scopes" for a meaningful project. We will handle all the logistics of planning and implementation. This allows volunteers to arrive at their project site with tasks assigned, and with the tools and materials needed to enjoy a productive day of service.
