Santa at Rhodes Hall

Sunday, December 2 From 8:00 AM - 4:00 PM (Midtown)

Santa at Rhodes Hall is one of the most beloved traditions of The Georgia Trust for Historic Preservation. This is a family event held in the Victorian surroundings of Rhodes Hall, a historic "castle" on Peachtree Street built in 1904. Santa at Rhodes Hall features holiday entertainment, music, refreshments, arts and crafts and best of all, private appointments with Santa. We are looking for volunteers to become Santa's helpers and assist with making the day special for our guests. Volunteer jobs include assisting with arts and crafts, food set-up, registration and greeters. Lunch will be provided.


Serving Seniors at A.G. Rhodes Health & Rehab Atlanta

Saturday, December 8 From 10:00 AM - 12:00 PM (Grant Park)

A.G. Rhodes Health & Rehab provides expert and compassionate rehabilitation therapy and residential care to seniors in metro Atlanta. Volunteers are integral to the happiness and well-being of our residents. We could not provide the variety of meaningful activities and programs we do without the time and talents of our volunteers. Volunteers will provide a variety of enrichment and therapeutic activities for our residents including BINGO, arts & crafts, holiday projects, games, parties & socials, and group visitations.


Trees Atlanta: Lindsay Street Park

Saturday, December 8 From 11:30 AM - 2:30 PM (English Avenue)

Founded in 1985, Trees Atlanta works tirelessly to address Atlanta’s tree loss, protect its forests, and create new green space. Trees Atlanta is a nationally recognized non-profit citizens' group that protects and improves Atlanta’s urban forest by planting, conserving, and educating. Volunteers will perform forest maintenance tasks, including invasive plant removal, at the Lindsay Street Park.


Margie's House Monthly Giveaway

Saturday, December 15 From 8:00 AM - 2:00 PM (Fairburn)

Margie’s House mission is to bring food and assistance to the communities around South Fulton. Join us in our monthly food distribution! Food sorters will be responsible for removing food off trucks as well as organizing, sorting, and packing food in bags. Volunteers will ensure the quality of the food, provide the quantity of food to each client as instructed and break down the boxes in which the food was delivered. Other jobs that may be required include taking out trash, assist clients with carrying food to their transportation, set up, break down and clean up.

People TV Office Help

Flexible, Mondays, Tuesdays and Thursdays in December (Midtown)

People TV’s mission is to provide the Atlanta Community a voice through Public Access to Media Technology. This is accomplished by providing the citizens of Atlanta, Georgia an equal opportunity to create public access programming for People TV. We offer basic technical training, the equipment and facilities necessary to produce non-commercial programming for individuals, organizations and institutions in the city of Atlanta. Front desk volunteers are needed. Tasks include answering phones, greeting visitors and giving tours of the station.
