Hands On Atlanta Week 2026: ATL Shows Up in Sweet Auburn
What a week to remember! Hands On Atlanta Week 2026 proved, once again, that when Atlantans come together with purpose, amazing things happen.
In partnership with Be On Edgewood, this year’s Hands On Atlanta Week (October 4 - 11, 2026) brought people from every corner of our city to serve side by side — building connections, transforming spaces, and spreading love through action.
Hands On Atlanta Week 2026 in Review!
What a week to remember! Hands On Atlanta Week 2026 proved, once again, that when Atlantans come together with purpose, amazing things happen.
From October 4–11, Atlantans came together for Hands On Atlanta Week, presented by Delta Air Lines, to serve our communities, support local nonprofits, and Do Something Good.
Over just seven days, volunteers powered 2 marquee projects and supported 320+ community projects! Even with the tropical storm at the tail end of Hands On Atlanta Week, Atlanta still showed up! From fighting food insecurity and advancing education equity to protecting and preserving our greenspaces, volunteers dedicated their time to supporting more than 50 nonprofits and schools across metro Atlanta.
Showing Up for Sweet Auburn and Downtown Atlanta
This year's signature service projects focused on supporting nonprofits and residents in the historic Sweet Auburn neighborhood and Downtown Atlanta. Over two days, corporate and community volunteers worked alongside local partners to create cleaner, more welcoming spaces and increase access to essential resources.
Both signature projects kicked off at BE On Edgewood, bringing volunteers and community partners together around a shared commitment to making Atlanta a stronger, more connected city.
Hands On Atlanta Week is a reminder of what happens when our community shows up. Every volunteer hour, service project, and nonprofit partnership contributes to building a more engaged and equitable Atlanta.
Sweet auburn beautification
In partnership with Clean Walks Alliance and the Historic King District Business Association, volunteers from Delta, Jeckil Promotions and Onit gathered at BE On Edgewood. Together alongside Hands On Atlanta staff, volunteers helped with streetscape cleanup and graffiti removal.
Kit packing
Back at Be On Edgewood, volunteers from OneDigital, SouthState Bank, and Kilpatrick Townsend came together to pack hygiene, snack, winter, and feminine hygiene kits! These kits are benefitting Gateway House, Welcome Center, Restoring One's Hope, and First Step Staffing.
A Big Thank You to Our Volunteers
To everyone who rolled up their sleeves, invited friends, shared photos, and spread the word, thank you. Your impact reaches far beyond this week. You’ve shown what “Hands On Atlanta” truly means: love for our city in action, community in motion.
As we look ahead, let’s keep that spirit alive. Every project, every hour, every act of service moves Atlanta closer to the kind of city we all believe in, one where everyone has the opportunity to thrive.
