MEALS FOR KIDS

HANDS ON HUNGER

In partnership with the Atlanta Community Food Bank, Hands On Atlanta will support 50 partner agencies through 2023 to help get more food to families in need. We will help by providing capacity for each agency through volunteer management best practices, access to enterprise level software, marketing and outreach, and pro-level account management and customer service - provided by members of our AmeriCorps program - to fully support volunteer engagement. Through this, agencies can more effectively retain repeat volunteers in order to support their mission and distribute more food to their communities.

SERVE WITH A FOOD PARTNER

Hands On Atlanta is supporting Atlanta Community Food Bank partner pantries across metro Atlanta. Find a pantry near you and sign up to volunteer with them!

Hands on Atlanta has been a huge asset to our operations at Bridging the Gap. It has allowed us to pull from a larger pool of volunteers, keep better track of our regular volunteers and the hours that they serve, as well as freeing up time to spend directly with volunteers and sharing the mission and vision of our organization. We are super excited for continued volunteer growth, as well as our partnership with Hands on Atlanta!

mEALS fOR KIDS

At Hands On Atlanta education is at the forefront. Our education programs team works with 40 AmeriCorps members to support students at local Atlanta schools through tutoring in math and literacy and Social Emotional Learning (SEL) and an afterschool education initiative encouraging and supporting STEAM.

Meals for Kids is an effort to provide additional services for students who we already serve by distributing packs of healthy snacks and groceries prior to school holiday breaks. We work with groups of volunteers to pack and distribute packs of food to students at schools and partner organizations.
