Coca-Cola Week of Service: Truly Living Well
Monday July 27, Wednesday July 29th and Friday July 31st from 9:00 AM - 1:00 PM (Ashview Heights Neighborhood, Atlanta)
Truly Living Well is a 501C3 nonprofit educational Center for Natural Urban Agriculture. We grow food, we connect people to the food, and we build equitable and sustainable food communities. It is our mission to grow better communities by connecting people with the land through education and training. Volunteers will be working together to complete farm tasks in order to keep the farm operating at peak level and its herbs and plants flourishing. Tasks may include: weeding and cultivating beds, filling raised beds with soil, planting of seedlings and watering, mulch designated areas with wood chips, processing compost, harvesting and processing produce, light landscaping and other projects as needed.
Coca-Cola Week of Service: Patchwork City Farm
Monday July 27th, Tuesday July 28th and Wednesday July 29th from 9:00 AM - 12:00 PM (Oakland City Neighborhood, Atlanta)
Patchwork City Farms (PCF) is a 1.2 acre independently-owned urban farm located in the city of Atlanta GA. Its original inception began in the Historic West End neighborhood of Atlanta and has now moved to is permanent location of Oakland City. PCF continues to be at the leading edge of Farm to Table, Slow Food, and Sustainable Agricultural movements to name a few. The farm is Certified Naturally Grown and we are committed to growing produce that is safe and nutritious. Volunteers will be weeding, mulching walkways, filling raised beds with soil, and planting.
Coca-Cola Week of Service: West Atlanta Watershed Alliance
Daily Monday July 27th - Friday July 31st from 9:00 AM - 12:00 PM (SW Atlanta)
West Atlanta Watershed Alliance believes that a healthy environment equals a healthy community, our overall efforts are focused on growing a cleaner, greener, healthier, and more sustainable West Atlanta community. Coca-Cola Week of Service volunteers will be weeding, mulching, harvesting, planting & doing beautification at the 2 acre Bush Mountain community garden.
Coca-Cola Week of Service: Open Hand Driver
Monday July 27, Wednesday July 29th and Friday July 31st from 10:00 AM - 12:00 PM (Lindbergh/Atlanta)
Open Hand helps homebound seniors and others suffering from disability or chronic disease by providing Comprehensive Nutrition Care™(CNC), a combination of nutritious, home-delivered meals, and nutrition education. Open Hand prepares, packages, and delivers 5,000 nutritionally-appropriate meals a day, six days a week with the support of volunteers. Volunteer drivers are a critical part of the service Open Hand provides to the community, since a majority of the organization’s clients are homebound. In fact, a volunteer driver is quite often the only person a client may see on any given day. Volunteers will pick-up meals, deliver meals to clients using their own vehicles and gas, and return the delivery list and delivery bags back to the Open Hand site. Delivery routes are available throughout Metro Atlanta, and the Open Hand team will work with volunteers to select a route where they will feel comfortable. Training and detailed, turn-by-turn directions are provided for all volunteer drivers. The routes are for a specific area of town and the drop offs are only a few miles apart.
Coca-Cola Week of Service: SVdP Chamblee Food Distribution

The Society of Saint Vincent de Paul Georgia is an independently funded, 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization. Funding comes from individuals, foundations, corporations, religious institutions and the community at large. Everyday more and more families are left without food due to the COVID-19 pandemic. SVdP has been working to provide food to families all over the Atlanta-metro area. As needs increase we are working to make sure families are being fed. Our food pantry has turned to a mobile model to best fulfill the needs of our clients, all while staying with in CDC COVID-19 guidelines. Clients will be able to pick up food via drive thru and we need your help to do it! Volunteers will help with Food Pantry Client & Delivery Check-In and Food Pantry Product Distribution.

Hands On Atlanta/Atlanta Community Food Bank COVID-19 Food Packing Vol
Tuesday March 31, Wednesday April 1 and Friday April 3 From 10:00 AM - 3:00 PM + Saturday April 4 from 9:00 AM - 1:00 PM (Various Schools in APS)
This volunteer opportunity will support with food insecurity in the Atlanta community. With many recent updates and changes due to COVID-19 multiple individuals and families are not able to work; or may not have access to regular food initiatives. Hands On Atlanta will be operating 5 sites in the Atlanta Public School (APS) district. Volunteers will unload pallets of food, pack the food in meal bags to be distributed to families through a drop off-line. Volunteers may also be asked to help with hot meal distribution to children.
Food Pantry Distribution
Tuesdays from 1:00pm to 4:00pm, Wednesday from 12:30pm to 2:00pm and Saturday from 8:30am to 11:30am (Lilburn)
Come help us feed our community healthy and nutritious meals by serving in our weekly food distribution. Volunteers will greet clients and assist them with paperwork, sort food, stock shelves, prepare bags for distribution, help clients carry food to their cars, general housekeeping and maintenance on food preparation areas and equipment.
C3 Ministries’ Food Pantry Distribution
Thursday April 2 with shifts from 8:30 AM - 7:00 PM (Marietta, GA)
Our mission at C3 Ministries is to provide resources of four various ministries in order that families can become whole, independent and ultimately able to return to serve others. Serving over 250 families every Thursday and over 471,508 pounds of food this year, we are greatly impacting our communities and with your help, we can continue to be more successful in making an impact in our community. Give back to your community while having fun and meeting new friends, while re-stocking food shelves, loading boxes with food items and assisting in expediting boxes to attendees vehicles.
Come Get Dirty and Have Fun on an Urban Agriculture Farm
Monday, Wednesday, Friday and Saturdays from 9:00 AM to 1:00 PM (Ashview Heights/West Atlanta)

Food Pantry Warehouse Associate
Saturday April 4 From 8:00 AM - 11:00 AM (Newnan, GA)
Bridging the Gap, a 501c3 non-profit, exists to feed, serve, and restore those who are hurting and in need in our community. The Warehouse Associate will be responsible for unloading and/or loading donations from the public as well as our daily food deliveries. They will also assist with weighing, sorting, and putting away of food to prevent spoilage. This person will work with the warehouse manager or warehouse team leader to methodically prepare food boxes for clients.

Reflections of Trinity/Team 58 Weekly Grocery Prep 2020

Reflections of Trinity is a non-profit organization dedicated to meet the basic needs of those in crisis with food, clothing, and housewares and facilitates structured opportunities for people to engage in meaningful community service. Every week Reflections of Trinity outreach team, Team 58, has volunteers who come and help prepare boxes of food, load and unload trucks, put away food on shelves and in freezers, and get our Food Bank ready for the Grocery Distribution we do every Saturday.

HANDS ON ATLANTA MEAL PACK AND DISTRIBUTION
Every Friday through May 8, 2020, Multiple Times and Shifts, Various Atlanta Public Schools
In partnership with the Atlanta Community Food Bank and Atlanta Public Schools, Hands On Atlanta will be operating meal packing and distribution at 5 sites in the Atlanta Public School (APS) district. Volunteers will unload pallets of food, pack the food in meal bags to be distributed to families through a drop off-line. Volunteers may also be asked to help with hot meal distribution to children.t
OPEN HAND PREP AND DISTRIBUTION
Every Mon. Wed., Fri. through April, 2020, Multiple Times and Shifts, Metro Atlanta
Open Hand Atlanta has openings 3 days a week (Mon, Wed, Fri) where they urgently need volunteers drivers to help deliver meals to clients across metro Atlanta.
APS FOOD DISTRIBUTION
Every Mon. through May 8, 2020, 10:00am - 12:00pm, Atlanta
After Spring Break, beginning Monday, April 13, APS will be streamlining their meal distribution from providing meals five days a week to providing meals one day a week each Monday from 10 a.m. to Noon , but it will still provide the same amount of food as the daily service did. Volunteers are needed to staff the on-site distribution sites and kitchens as well as drive buses to various routes and drop locations.

The mission of Meals on Wheels Atlanta is to support senior independence through meals, shelter, education, and community. Volunteers are needed to deliver meals to frail, homebound and low-income seniors residing in Fulton County.

HANDS ON ATLANTA WAREHOUSE VOLUNTEERS

We're looking for a couple volunteers to help us clean, inventory and organize our warehouse. Please wear clothes that you do not mind getting dirty and closed-toed shoes. We recommend bringing water and your own snacks. Court-ordered volunteers are allowed to serve.
GARDEN WORK DAY AT TOWERS HIGH SCHOOL GARDEN

Join Partners in Action for Healthy Living for a garden workday and make a positive and lasting impact on the lives of the youth and families living within our community. You'll weed, prune, spread mulch, plant and general garden clean-up to get ready for planting our spring crops!
WYLDE FARMLET WORKDAY

Wylde Center strives to cultivate environmental stewardship and bring people closer to nature through community events, greenspaces, and educational programming. They serve all populations. Wylde Center’s largest fundraiser is their annual Plant Sale and Festival. This volunteer event will help them keep on schedule to be prepared for the festival in mid-April.
COMMUNITY PLANTING DAY - ORCHARD TREES AT MOUNTAIN WAY

This program facilitated by the West Atlanta Watershed Alliance provides the opportunity for youth 10 years and older to participate in meaningful activities encouraging conservation, stewardship, and experiential learning on the second Saturday of every month. Volunteer tasks are: Trail building and maintenance, Invasive Plant Eradication, Habitat Restoration and other activities needed to manage the facility and grounds of this unique urban resource!

2020 U.S OLYMPIC TEAM TRIALS CHEER ZONE

ATLANTA, let’s get HYPED! The U.S. Olympic Marathon Trials will be held in Atlanta and thanks to our pals at the Atlanta Track Club, Livable Buckhead has been selected to host an Official Cheer Station! Don’t miss your chance to see Olympic-level competition on the streets of Atlanta as the greatest distance runners in the country vie for spots on the Tokyo Team. Livable Buckhead will need a host of volunteers to cheer on the runners in the country during the marathon trials!
INCOMMUNITY DAY PROGRAM BEAUTIFICATION

InCommunity partners to enrich and sustain the lives of individuals who have developmental disabilities, their families, and their communities. Volunteers help us accomplish the tasks our staff cannot carry out and help connect our individuals with the greater community. Volunteers will be painting and creating an indoor garden that the individuals at the day program can use for horticultural therapy.

Breakthrough Atlanta equips aspiring, economically-disadvantaged youth to become the first in their families to attend and graduate college. Our programs include a six-week summer school, as well as Saturday sessions throughout each school year that increase students' academic, social and college-readiness knowledge and skills. Caring and consistent volunteers are needed to provide group mentoring and academic enrichment to seventh through ninth grade students.

ATLANTA SCIENCE FESTIVAL 2020
Friday, February 21 Multiple Events (NW Atlanta)
Join the Curious Corp, the volunteer team that makes the annual Atlanta Science Festival possible! From March 6-21st, 50,000 children and adults will celebrate local science and technology at more than 100 events throughout metro Atlanta. Volunteers are needed for every event and in the weeks leading up to the Atlanta Science Festival. We will need greeters, tweeters, ushers, wayfinders, schleppers, lifters, marketers, and more.
LIONEL HAMPTON BEECHER HILLS STEWARDSHIP WALK/INVASIVE PLANT REMOVAL
Sunday, February 23 From 1:00 PM - 3:00 PM (W Atlanta)
Eco-A, Co-Host James Tyler, and Friends of Lionel Hampton Beecher Hills Nature Preserve invites you to learn more about one of Atlanta's largest parks and help with light forest restoration. Volunteers will spend a little time removing a few "upstart" invasive species in a few key locations before they have a chance to expand into an area that is, so far, mostly free of invasive species.
BEAVER-INSPIRED WETLAND RESTORATION VOLUNTEER EVENT
Saturday, February 22 From 9:00 AM - 12:00 PM (Sandy Springs)
Come join us as we work to restore an important urban wetland for our community using an innovative, natural restoration technique. The project will restore the function of the Mill Creek waterway by reconnecting it to the adjacent floodplain using a technique that mimics beaver dam-building activity. You will be preparing the materials to be used for the project to build the Beaver Dam Analogs (BDAs). This involves removing and storing the plant material for later use. We will also be planting willow stakes to help stabilize the creek bank.
PAHL - BOYS AND GIRLS CLUB AT PEACHCREST LEARNING GARDEN WORKDAY
Saturday, February 22 From 9:00 AM - 12:00 PM (Decatur)
Partners in Action for Healthy Living installed and maintains a learning garden at The Boys and Girls Club at Peachcrest right across the street from Peachcrest Elementary. The garden allows children at the club to learn how to grow food from seed to market and learn leadership skills along the way. We prepare food in their wonderful kitchen and give lessons on nutrition and plant-based food. We will finish the herb garden, remove invasive plants along the border fence, move wood chips, plant additional pollinator plants and weed the beds if necessary.
HIS LOVE EXTENDED - PRAISE BEAUTY SALON VOLUNTEER

We encourage and uplift our clients by providing hair services to women, men, and children. The Praise Salon seeks to remove outward physical barriers that limit personal/professional growth and success in employment, continuing education, and securing permanent housing by providing beauty and confidence-building tips to those experiencing financial hardships. Those with skills to serve as stylists, braiders/loc specialists, and shampooers. We also need child care teachers/helpers – and people who can assist with administrative tasks. Orientation is provided, and shampoo and stylist training sessions are offered.
